Etc.

Where?

The hurricane Irma starts in the sea but soon he hit the carribean. not only the Caribbean have been hit because there are many more areas. Saint Martin was also hit as one of the first. Soon after, puerto rico was hit. But no, it doesn’t stay there he goes on to dominican republic and when everything was destroyed he went on to cuba and then he went to florida in total there are hit 20 areas and lands as the bahamas etc.

When?

The hurricane started on the 30th of August in 2017. And the hurricane was spent on the 13th of September also in 2017. On the 30th of August the wave started at the Cape Verde islands. After 24 hours it was a category 2 hurricane and after a short time it was a category 3 hurricane.
How does a hurricane arise?
Hurricanes arise above the sea. The sea must have a temperature of 27 degrees. The sea water evaporates and goes into the air. The air cools down in the atmosphere and falls again. Air flows then arise. They are running at an amazing speed. What is very strange is that it is very quiet in the middle of the hurricane. At the edges of the hurricane it is blowing very hard. It can reach wind force 12.
Where do the most hurricanes occur?
The most hurricanes occur in the Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, Pacific Ocean.
How many?
20.000 people fled for the hurricane. 1.2 million people no longer had access to clean water because of the hurricane Irma. 134 people died because of the hurricane . The hurricane has hit a total of 20 areas in the United States. The damage of the hurricane is between 20 and 40 billion dollars.
Facts about the hurricane Irma
Hurricane Irma was over 400 miles wide. The hurricane had a speed of 298 kilometre per hour. It was a category 5 hurricane. Another name for the hurricanes is a tropic cyclone or a taifun. Irma was the most powerful hurricane since the hurricane Wilma from 2005. Irma had the lowest air pressure since the hurricane Dean from 2007.

Etc.

Hurricanes does has names because you can recognise the hurricanes easily.
In America hurricanes get boys or girls names. But in China, Vietnam, Japan, Thailand and Korea hurricanes  get names of gods.

How violent the hurricane is is divided into different categories. You have numbered categories from 1 up to 5. I think it is very obvious, but category 1 is the least violent and 5 the most violent. In the 1st category the wind speed is up to 152 kilometers per hour. 2 characteristics of a Category 1 hurricane are: caravans are blown away and the coast is flooded. In the second category the wind speed is up to 176 kilometers per hour wooden houses are then broken and doors and poor quality roofs break down. A category 3 hurricane goes even faster. It has a speed up to 208 km per hour and the land then flooded and small things were destroyed. In a hurricane from the fourth category there is danger for people who live in the low areas and all roofs are destroyed. That hurricane is up to 248 km per hour. Last you have a category 5 hurricane thats from 248 km per hour and people must then be evacuated because it is so intense that even the houses are blown away.

This is the end of our presentation and we hope you enjoyed bye.
