I think that the theme of the book is guilt and blame. Almost every character in the book has to deal with guilt. The message of the writer is that when you do something bad, it will follow you your entire lif till you find redemption. Like I told you, every character has to deal with guilt. Andrew felt bad because he didn’t save Little Bee and her sister. He found redemption by doing research about Nigeria and tried to write a novel about it. Little Bee felt sorry, because of her Andrew committed suicide, so she started caring for Sarah. Sarah was unfaithful to Andrew, the trip was an attempt to salvage their marriage.
