Ik ben een verhaal aan het schrijven waarin twee Engelse zinnen voorkomen. Kunt u me bevestigen of ze correct zijn?

In bijlage de twee zinnen:
"Ladies and gentlemen, we're now leaving the traject we traditionally would take. I feel it's my duty to show you the other, less glamorous, side of this city, too."

"Sadly this is not the only tumor eating away at our Kingdom.  I could show you quite a bit more of this kind of shameful places."

traject is niet echt Engels, beter is: route, course, trail
Je zou kunt ook heel goed zeggen: we're now leaving the beaten track.

En in de tweede zin zou ik zeggen: these kinds of shameful places

onthoudt dat je 'it is' moet schrijven in plaats van 'it's'

Dat ligt eraan of je een dialoog beschrijft, of spreektaal.
Maar in dit geval kan "we're" en "it's" heel goed volgens mij.
